Hampton Cup Regatta - Sunday, 22 August

I talked with our coordinator at the Regatta today and he was aware that we had things going on on Saturday, so he will be looking for us to show only on Sunday. I hope we can have a good turnout. It was really a fun time last year.

Hampton Cup Regatta Details:
National Level Inboard Hydroplane Races

Directions:
Take I-64 to the Phoebus (Ft, Monroe Exit) Mallory Street. At the light at
the end of the ramp (east or west bound) proceed North on Mallory to Mellen Street. Turn right onto Mellen. Follow Mellen through town to Fort Monroe. As you cross the Mugler Bridge and make landfall on the Fort, make a very hard left hand turn on to the Mercury Blvd. Bridge. Our parking area is at the Fort Monroe end of the Mercury Bridge.

Specifics:
Try to get there between 11:00 and 12:00. The Regatta ends between 5:00 and 6:00. If you have to leave early it usually is not a problem. There will be VIP passes (arm bands) for all who come. Our contact is Harry Hundley, an old friend of mine. He is handling static displays and the children's area for the Regatta. Bring a lawn chair if you like.
