E-mail from Bert Neily: VIR Driving School
Greetings Driving Enthusiasts:
Announcing the Mid-Atlantic Alfa Romeo Club's next Driving School event:
"Vintage VIR"
April 30 - May 1, 2005
on the North Course at Virginia International Raceway
We'll repeat one of our favorite events on the first weekend of May. MAARC will be share VIR's challenging North Course with racers from the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA). MAARC will hold a driving school for intermediate and advanced students and—in separate run groups—the vintage racers will practice and race. Each MAARC run group will have three on-track sessions each day. MAARC and VSCCA are a congenial match: VSCCA members are the "Laid Back Pasta Eaters" of vintage racing; they're in it for fun, and their event won't have trophies or official timing and scoring. MAARC driving school participants will be able to see the vintage race cars up close in the paddock and watch all the action between school sessions. This event was a big hit last year and the year before, so you won't want to miss it. This should be a great event, so plan ahead! This event is open to intermediate (minimum of three previous driving school events) and advanced students only. There will be no novice group: open cars must have approved rollbars [rollbar specifications].
Cost: $260 - Early-bird Registration (fee postmarked & paid by April 9, 2005) $275 - After April 9
This event will fill up quickly! Send your registration and check today!
