Email from Steve - AROC Election
NOTICE concerning upcoming board of directors election.
It has been approved by the AROC board that the ballots for the 2005 Board of Directors voting will be placed in The April issue of the Alfa Owner as a detachable reader response type card in the center of the magazine between the two pages containing the candidate bios. Here is some more information about the change from John Justus, who made the proposal to reduce election/postage costs. The ballot will be inserted in the center of the Owner, between facing pages with the candidate bios. The card will be attached to the magazine with a perforation so it could be torn out without damaging the magazine. On one side of the card will be printed voting instructions, place for membership number, the candidates names, and a selection box for each candidate. On the other side will be the AROC office address and a place for a stamp (not postage paid). The card will be similar in size and shape and appearance to what has been sent out in the past for director ballots. This will cost approximately $500 dollars to do, but will save the club about $1750 dollars over the cost of sending the ballots out via first class, which is the other and most used option mentioned in the club By-laws.
