New tricks for old Alfas
Ten years ago, Jim Kartalamakis wrote the definitive book on modifying Alfa Romeo twin-cam cars, sharing his considerable research and experience in making these wonderful cars faster, more reliable, and better in every way.
Kartalamakis is back again, this time with a new-and-improved edition of the classic How to Power Tune Alfa Romeo Twin Cam Engines, now titled, The Alfa Romeo DOHC Engine High-Performance Manual.
The author’s hands-on experience with a variety of rear-wheel-drive Alfas, from the 105 series through the last of the Alfa 75s, is reflected in new material on TwinSpark cylinder heads modifications, big-brake conversions, improvements to the electrical system and limited-slip differential adjustment, all aimed at the do-it-yourself enthusiast.
Published by Veloce Publishing, it’s available through the good folks at Motorbooks International, Amazon.com, and other booksellers. Own a V-6 Alfa? Don’t despair—Kartalamakis’ new book covering your favorite car is coming soon.
