Southsiders Unite!

After a perfectly horrible driving ordeal to get to the Williamsburg Winery via I-64 last Saturday, I have resolved to live up to the "Alfa Code" and take the road less traveled for this Saturday's events. All Southsiders are welcome to join the following itinerary:

10/9 Saturday

8:15 am - Depart Cosmo's Diner parking lot (exit 11a off I-664, Portsmouth Blvd. westbound)
9:15 am - Arrive at James River ferry landing at Scotland Neck.
9:30 am - Ferry departs for Jamestown.
10:00 am - Ferry arrives Jamestown.
10:15 am - Alfas arrive triumphant and refreshed at Italian Festival.

I timed this last Saturday and it does take nearly an hour at a brisk driving pace to get from Cosmo's to the ferry. This will be a long (hopefully fun and rain-free) day for all of us so this is the about latest start time possible while still getting us to the festival before it starts. Of course, if you want breakfast at Cosmo's you'll have to be an even earlier riser!
