VIVA ITALIA - Richmond's Original Italian Street Festival!
For some reason Virginia seems to be growing Italian festivals faster than peanuts in Suffolk! The Hampton Roads branch is attempting to pull off a three-peat: three Italian festivals in three months (in Suffolk, Richmond and Jamestown - Williamsburg). Who knew we would be in such demand?
Here are the details for the second event set for Richmond on October 1-2, sponsored by a collection of Italian-American organizations including the Italian-American Business and Professional Societa. Rich Minor received this info as a fax, so hopefully the tiff file will automatically open on your computer when you click on the link. There are five pages total in the file: VIVA ITALIA - Richmond's Original Italian Street Festival!
Our participation will probably be limited to parking in a prominent (hopefully shady) area and enjoying the festival. Maybe we'll throw in a dinner, perhaps a tech session at Aren's, and a fun drive on the way back if we decide to make this an over-nighter. First we need to determine interest before we get carried away :~) . Reading the details from the fax, the festival promises to be pretty nice - I'm looking forward to learning how to make my own mozzarella! Please notify your humble webmaster or Rich Minor if you plan to attend!!! We are hoping for participation from Richmond and Capitol members and anyone else with a macchina to display.
