April Meeting Minutes
Alex finally pawned off the club MC duties onto Mike Griffin, but he did provide one last summary of the April meeting. Here's what was discussed:
1. Williamsburg Winery British and European Car Show - 23 April. We will meet at the Starbuck's off Victory Blvd at about 8AM on Sunday as a group to drive to the car show (we will leave there around 8:30AM). Details are still available at www.alfasbythesea.com and there is still room for more!
2. VIR Performance Driving School - 28-30 April. This should be a fun event! Some of us will even be trying to learn to drive! Come on out even just to watch all the great vintage cars! I'll be leaving for Danville early on Saturday morning if anyone is interested in forming a 'convoy'. Details are available at www.pastaeaters.com
3. Moonshine Rally - Elkin NC 6 May. A really fun event to do, but I don't think any of us are planning to attend. Details are available through the Corsa Rossa link when visiting www.pastaeaters.com
4. Espresso Autocross and Cookout - Greensboro, NC 13 May. Umberto Terreni has graciously offered us the use of the parking lot and barbecue facilities at his business, General Espresso Equipment Corporation www.espressobrewer.com in Greensboro, NC to stage an autocross and cookout. We will be joined by members of the BMW 2002 Club, who will set up an autocross course complete with timing equipment. Details soon at www.pastaeaters.com and in the next Alfa Advocate.
5. The MAARC Annual Wine Tour - 26-28 May. A fabulous weekend event which is filling up with Alfas coming from all over! Reservations are still available at the English Inn at reduced rates until 26 April. Stay tuned for updated details at www.pastaeaters.com.
6. The annual AROC USA (Alfa Romeo Owners' Club USA) National Convention - 15-18 June. This years' national event will be held in beautiful Tulsa, OK. Information is available at www.alfadeco2006.org
7. Rich Minor and Thomas Gonnella have put together a great group drive for us, but we need to figure out a date to do it. Suggestions please!
