Formula One Breakfast, 25 July (German Grand Prix)

Okay race fans, time to root-on Team Ferrari as they continue to show the competition what the back end of a winning Formula One race car looks like.  German Grand Prix is Sunday, 25th of July.  Pre-race is 7:30 am with race start at 8:00.  In a previous post I suggested meeting at The Brass Bell as they serve breakfast and have about 17 TV's. It's a neighborhood bar, so lower your expectations accordingly, but the food is cheap and good (go figure)!  I know we've done it in the past at Uncle Louie's, but they don't open until 8:00 so we would probably miss the race start.  I'll bring it up at the club meeting again if anyone has any other suggestions, otherwise here are the directions to The Brass Bell:

(From I-64 east or westbound)
  • Take Northampton Blvd exit 282 - you can go only one direction - north (actually east) on US 13 towards Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
  • Drive about 5 miles on Northamton Blvd and take the first Independece Blvd exit (south)
  • Very quickly you will come to an intersection with a light (Pleasure House Rd) and there will be a Rite Aid on your left.
  • The Brass Bell  is on the other side of the the Rite Aid, located in the small strip mall to the south (Throughgood Shopping Center).  If you stay on Indepedence Blvd through the light, you will have to do a U-turn and come back towards the Rite Aid.
  • You can also make a left onto Pleasure House Rd, then the next right after Rite Aid, then the next right into the strip mall parking lot.

Hope to see you there!

Rick
