Minutes from July Meeting

Here are the items discussed at last nights meeting:

1.  Alex and Petey’s move and yard sale on the 23rd and 24th of July.  Whoever can help is encouraged to do so.

2.  As we were leaving, Jenny mentioned that Delargy’s is having a wine dinner on Wed July 28th and Aug 11th and invited everyone to come.

3.  Next meeting is Southside on Aug 16th.  It was decided to try “Amalfi” Restaurant at 21st and Colley Ave in Norfolk.  They have a full menu, separate checks and ample parking (don’t park in the bank parking lot next door, everything else behind and to the side of the restaurant is fine).  Rick is going to make the arrangements and we will decide at that meeting if we want to stay there or move on again.  Skip will talk with “Enrico’s” and let them know we won’t be there in August.

4.  On the 21st and 22nd of August there are three events going on.  The MAARC drivers school at VIR on both days, the Hampton Regatta static car display at Fort Monroe on both days and the Shriner’s car show in Chesapeake on Saturday.

5.  The Alfa Extravaganza is scheduled for Sept 17th thru 19th.  There is a complete run down on it in the July Advocate

6.  Betsy’s car show, cancelled last year by the hurricane is now back on for Sept 19th.

7.  The September meeting will be on the 20th at Delargy’s

8.  It was discussed to combine the Williamsburg Italian Fest and the Hampton Roads Weekend into one event on the 8th and 9th of October.  Rich Minor has graciously offered his home for a picnic etc. in conjunction with the other activities.  There needs to be a meeting of the committee (if anyone can remember who that is) to finalize things.

9.  For those not going to the convention, Rick Triebwasser is setting up a Formula One breakfast at the Brass Bell in Virginia Beach on Sunday, 25th of July (directions are on the blog).  Please contact Rick if you are interested in going.
